Q

Warning associated with the ejection checks?

A
  • Canopy must be closed and locked
  • Notify the other occupant as soon as possible
  • Make a conscious effort to adopt the ejection posture
  • Simultaneous ejection of both seats is inadvisable. Captain to wait for other occupant to eject first

Q

ENG ITT (GROUND), caution and note

A

PCL - FUEL OFF

After landing checks and shutdown checks. Keep BATTs on to make RT.

Limit for ground idle is 750’
Limit for air/>63%NG IS 860’

Note - Procedure not to be applied on landing roll, two types of rising ITT. Rapid increase in temp and slow increase in temp

CAUTION - Ensure NP is not maintained between 1600 and 1900 with a tailwind

17
Q

With tailwind ensure the RPM is NOT kept between…

A

1600 and 1950rpm

18
Q

ENG ITT (IN FLIGHT) with associated warning and caution

A

ITT ABOVE 860’
PCL - MINIMUM PRACTICAL

If warning was displayed even though extinguished

LAND AS SOON AS POSSIBLE

CAUTION - ITT BELOW 350’ = Possible flameout

WARNING - monitor EO2 contents and descend to safe alt before EO2 is exhausted

19
Q

ENG NG

A

CAUTION - low NG may indicate a flameout

A.) NG <50.7 = FLAME OUT
IGNITERS - ON
PCL - INCREASE POWER

B.) NG >104% (caution for 2s then warning)
PCL - MINIMUM PRACTICAL
If warning remains
LAND AS SOON AS POSSIBLE

WARNING - Monitor EO2 contents and descend to a safe alt before EO2 is exhausted

NOTE - Oil press may drop to 40PSI during manoeuvres for 20s. Recover S&L, monitor

21
Q

OIL TEMP (On ground)

A

CAUTION - monitor and increase airflow by more power or turning into wind

WARNING
PCL - FUEL OFF
Conduct after landing checks and shutdown checks

NOTE - Increasing NG may reduce oil temp by increasing airflow through the cooler
