Bold Face Flashcards
Warning associated with the ejection checks?
- Canopy must be closed and locked
- Notify the other occupant as soon as possible
- Make a conscious effort to adopt the ejection posture
- Simultaneous ejection of both seats is inadvisable. Captain to wait for other occupant to eject first
Emergency egress on the ground, and warning associated with it
SEAT PIN - IN THE SEAT LEG RESTRAINTS - RELEASED SEAT HARNESS - RELEASED OXY MASK HOSE - DISCONNECT MIC TEL - DISCONNECT PSP - DISCONNECT CANOPY - OPEN
WARNING - Eject if circumstances dictate however do not eject if; Canopy is not closed and locked, occupants are not strapped in, Seat pins or CFS pins are in
Warning, note, Caution associated with gliding checks
Warning - Delaying ejection in a futile attempt to restart the engine, recover controlled flight may place the aircraft in marginal conditions for safe ejection
Note - Batt 1 & 2 have an endurance of 30 min of load is less than 60A
Caution - Do not attempt a restart if shut down due engine mechanical failure or fire
Emergency landing checks with associated caution and note
AIRSPEED - BELOW 180 LANDING GEAR HANDLE - DOWN EMRG GEAR HANDLE - PULL FLAPS - AS REQUIRED Once stopped BATT 1 & 2 - OFF
Note - Do not check brakes after emergency gear extension to preserve hyd pressure
CAUTION - Anti skid is inoperative with the main hyd system not operating, apply brakes carefully
Engine fire or smoke and fumes on the ground and associated warning, caution and note
ACS SHUTOFF - PULL PCL - FUEL OFF FUEL HYD CUTOFF - PULL BATTS AND GENS - OFF BRAKES - AS REQUIRED EMERGENCY EGRESS ON THE GROUND
WARNING - EO2 may lead to pure O2 flowing into the cockpit, operate if greater risk due incapacitation due flames
Caution - Anti Skid is inoperative when main hyd system shutdown, apply brakes carefully
Note - DWP and MFD fire warnings indicate engine fire, smoke and fumes may exist without these captions
Engine fire in flight and associated warning, caution and note
EO2 - PULL ACS SHUTOFF - PULL PCL - MIN PRACTICAL PMS - MANUAL Check for signs of fire, if not confirmed; LAND AS SOON AS POSSIBLE
If fire confirmed; PCL - FUEL KFF FUEL HYD CUTOFF - PULL BATT 1 - OFF GEN 1 & 2 - OFF
If fire persists;
EJECT
WARNING - monitor EO2 contents and descend below safe alt before it runs out
Caution - observe engine limits manually and avoid rapid power changes in manual
Note - smoke and fumes may exist without DWP or MFD fire indications
Smoke and fumes in the cockpit in flight and associated warning and note
EO2 - PULL
ACS SHUTOFF - PULL
CABIN PRESS - RAM
If fumes continue
GEN 1 & 2 - OFF
WARNING - Monitor EO2 contents and descent below safe altitude before it runs out
WARNING - visor down mask on gloves on prior to pulling MDC handle
Note - if source of fumes can be found, turn the system off and reset EO2
Aborted takeoff and associated warning/ caution
PLC - IDLE
BRAKES - AS REQUIRED
If aborting due engine fire
ENGINE FIRE OR SMOKE AND FUMES ON THE GROUND
WARNING - eject if collision risk
CAUTION - Anti-skid inoperative with main hyd system out, apply brakes carefully
Engine failure after T/O and associated warning
PCL - FUEL OFF
If suitable RWY available
FUEL HYD CUTOFF - PULL
EMERGENCY LANDING CHECKS
WARNING - delaying ejection decision in a futile attempt to restart the engine may place the aircraft in marginal conditions for safe ejection
Engine mechanical failure and associated warning
PCL - FUEL OFF
FUEL HYD CUTOFF - PULL
EO2 - PULL
WARNING - Monitor EO2 contents and descend below safe altitude before it is exhausted
Engine flame out and associated warning and caution

- NG below 80% in Auto and 70% in manual
WARNING - Monitor EO2 contents and descend below safe altitude before it is exhausted
CAUTION - Minimise power changes following flameout
Engine surge and associated warning, caution and note
PCL - IDLE
LAND AS SOON AS POSSIBLE
- Loss of power
- ITT excessively high and fluctuating
- Rumbling or popping sounds from engine
WARNING - monitor EO2 contents and descend below safe altitude before it is exhausted
CAUTION - minimise power changes, observe engine limits manually and avoid rapid power changes with PMS manual
NOTE - max TQ in PMS manual 2850
PMS FAILURE (PMS manual) and associated cautions
PCL- CONTROL ENGINE LIMITS MANUALLY
CAUTION - observe limits manually and avoid rapid power changes
CAUTION - PMS Reset once
