Complex chemicals that influences and controls the body’s functions

Consists of organs that are capable of accomplishing reproduction (the creation of a new individual)
Nervous
Communication network that organizes and coordinates all of the body’s functions
Integumentary
Made up of skin hair and nails (provides external protection)
Skeletal
Made up of bones (supports the body and protects underlying organs)
Muscular
Provides the body’s motion
Respiratory
Responsible for taking in air
Circulatory
Transports O2 and nutrients to the body’s cells
Immune
The body’s defense mechanism against the environment of microbes in which we live
Digestive
Group of cells that changes the food eaten into a form that can be used by the body’s cells
