Action: ventral flexion of trunk

What is their action?
Forms waist by crossing with the internal obliques.
Action: flexes trunk centrally; rotation of trunk

What are their action?
Forms waist by crossing with external obliques.
Action:flexes trunk ventrally; rotation of the trunk
Where is the transversus muscle and what is it’s action?
Across the abdomen.
It forces expiration, defecation, vomiting

What is it’s function?
Relatively square muscle of the lower back
Action: extension of the lateral flexion of the trunk and steadies the 12th rib
Where is the latissimus Dorsi muscle?
What is it’s function?
Covers back of lower ribs.
Action:Adduction of the arm at shoulder, depression of the shoulder
Where are the Hamstrings?
Group of muscles at the back of the thigh.

Group of muscles at the front of the thigh.

Inner thigh
