Once the life raft is 10-40 ft below the waterline the hydrostatic release will actuate
How do life rafts inflate
When the approximate 100 foot sea painter becomes taught, the life raft will actuate the co2 bottle
Buoyancy of the inflated life raft is greater than the breaking strength of the sea painter.
