What does the internal jugular vein do
Drain blood from the brain
What does the external jugular vein do
Drains blood from superficial regions of the head and neck
What does the brachiocephalic veins do
Receive blood from the jugular and simply being beans and deliver it to the superior vena cava
What do the common carotid arteries do
Carry blood towards the head
What does the right/left subclavian artery do
Carries blood to the foreleg
What does the aorta do
Carries blood under high pressure from the left ventricle to all arteries except pulmonary arteries
What does the pulmonary trunk do
Carries blood from the right ventricle to 3 Vessels, the right and left pulmonary arteries the ductus arteriosus
What is the ductus arteriosus
A wide sure the artery that closes at birth it allows the output from the right ventricle to bypass the lungs and the left side of the heart and go right to the aorta
What does the inferior vena cava do
Why been carrying blood from the hind legs and the abdomen to the right atrium
What do the pulmonary veins do
Carry blood from the lungs to the left atrium (oxygenated)
What does the hepatic portal vein do
Take blood from the pancreas stomach spleen and intestines to the liver
What do the renal veins do
Drain blood from the kidneys into the inferior vena cava
What does the common iliac vein do
Drain blood from behind the legs into the inferior vena cava
What does the umbilical vein do
Carries blood from the placenta through the umbilical cord to the liver
What do hepatic veins do
Carry blood from the liver into the superior vena cava
