the glycoproteins on the surface of blood cells can differ from one person to another

A
a second antigen found on red blood cells

how can this affect the pregnancy
A
if the baby receives Rh+ from the father and the mother is Rh- the baby’s blood will come in contact with the mother’s immune system which causes the mother to produce antibodies against Rh+ if the mother has another baby with a Rh+ blood then the blood could clump in their veins because of the antibodies
