How to place on a doppler on a dog, step by step…

A
  1. clip area
  2. apply probe with ultrasound gel, concave side down to the digital palmar a. and tape
  3. measure cuff (30-40% of circumference) and place proximal to the probe
  4. connect cuff to sphygmomanometer
  5. pump up until no sound is heard and then slowly release until sound is heard
  6. the first sound heard is the SAP
