what is systolic blood pressure
the top number
maximum pressure in the blood vessels as the heart pushes out blood
what is diastolic blood pressure
the minimum pressure in the vessels when the heart relaxes between beats
what is ideal blood pressure
120/80 mm/hg
at is pre high
120/80- 140/90 mm/hg
what is high
120/80 and 140/90 or above
low
90/60 mm/hg or lower
what is the rules considering what is the level blood pressure
only 1 of the pressues has to be higher or lower than guidelines to be abdnormal
what does low blood pressure could cause
some people may be dizzy and it can cause health conditions like diabetes
what happens in heart disease
the heart has to work harder to pump blood around the body
what is kidney disease
pressure in the arteires causes them to narrow or weaken so not enouugh blood can get to tissues of the kidneys
what is stroke
increased pressure causes blood vessels to weaken
if one bursts in the brain it will bleed into the surroudning tissue
