Name the 4 functions of the blood
A
- Transport- the blood transports various substances around the body
- Defence- prevent germs and bacteria from causing disease and infection
- Clotting- to prevent infection specific cells form clots un areas where the skin is injured I.e cute
- Heat regulation

Name the 4 components of blood
A
- Plasma- 50% of blood is made up of this.
- Red blood cells- make up between 40-50% if the blood
- White blood cells- to protect the body from the spread if infection
- Platelets- when the skin is injured and exposed these cells connect together with to form a clot to prevent germs from entering the body

Blood circulation TO the head
A
- Occipital- supplies the scalp and back of the head with blood
- Internal carotid artery- takes blood to the brain. Two of these at either side of the neck. The external carotid artery divides into the facial, temporal and occipital
- Temporal branch- supplies the side of the face, head, scalp and skin with blood
- Facial branch
