What is a Roche Combur Test?
A presumptive test that will give an indication that a stain may be blood.
What is a false positive?
A positive reaction to a substance other that the substance of interest
What is a false negative ?
A negative reaction to the substance of interest. Can result in failure to detect evidence.
What are things that can alter the appearance and behaviour of blood?
Mixing with other bodily fluids, water or other substances
Interacting with the environment (oxidising to brown)
Surface interactions (separating, flaking, hardening)
