What are the standard vital signs?

After lubing 2 inches of it, it should be inserted 1-1.5 inches in gently without pushing if meeting resistance
How to take tympanic temperature
gently pull up and back on the outside of the ear and insert the covered tip 1/4 to 1/2 inches into the ear canal
Apical
the adjective for the apex, the tip of a pyramidal or rounded structure
Apical Pulse
measured by listening over the apex (lower tip) of the heart with a stethoscope
Radial Artery
the artery that runs just beneath the skin at the wrist where the pulse can be felt

Why can’t you use your thumb to check radial pulse?
your thumb has it’s own pulse that can mess up your count

phase when heart is resting and relaxes. Bottom number for BP

low blood pressure caused by a sitting or standing position
