Briefly describe Mission Commander (MC)
A qualified naval aviator or naval flight officer responsible for all phases of the flight except Flight Safety related to physical control of the aircraft.
Briefly describe Tactical Coordinator (TACCO or TC)
To employ tactics and procedures to effectively carry out the mission of the aircraft and it’s crew.
Briefly describe the Co-Tactical Coordinator (COTAC OR CTC)
Assist the TACCO in all tasking and will be a major asset in determining a plan of action for aircraft and aircrew.
Briefly describe Acoustic Air Warfare Operator (AAW)
Responsible to detect, classify and report contact data ensuring audio info is recorded for reconstruction.
Briefly describe Electronic Warfare Operator (EWO).
Utilizes mission systems to detect and analyze targets of operational significance and provide radar intercept and navigation information to the flight deck and TACCO.
Briefly describe Patrol Plane Commander.
Responsible for safety, accurate navigation and orderly conduct of the flight.

What duties does the Plane Patrol Copilot (3P) perform?
Performs those duties of Pilot, Copilot, Pilot flying, Pilot Monitoring, Augment Pilot, and Observer.
Briefly describe Pilot (P)
Refers to the left seat pilot.
The PPC, 2P, or 3P may occupy and perform duties from the P seat.
Briefly describe Copilot (CP)

Briefly describe Augment Pilot (AP)
Performs duties specifically on the flight deck or in direct support of the PF and PM, but does not operate the P or CP seat
Briefly describe Observer
Responsible for preflight duties of ‘safety of flight’ mission systems, in flight emergency procedures, and assisting in post flight duties.
