What is the focal point for all stores management?
The Stores Management System (SMS)
What does the Stores Management System manage?
The release, carriage, control, data transfer and required interfaces of kill stores and search stores carried on the P8.
What does the Stores Management Control include?
The control and release of kill stores and search stores
The control of other subsystems supporting the employment of those stores
Interfacing with the Mission Computing and Display System (MCDS)
What is the Stores Management Computer?
It is the central control point for the SMS and performs the integration role for all SMS functions.
It provides interface with the flight deck, weapons control panel, MCDS and 10 station control units.
What is the purpose of the Stores Management Weapons Control Panel?
Provides the controls to release sonobouys, jettison, and execute the jettison cycle. And opens and closes weapons bay doors.
What does the Stores Management MCDS ordnance panel control?
Controls the SMS, collects statuses, provides necessary data for the SMS to function and provides necessary data for the SMS to function and provides the human interface.
What does the Stores Management Control Wheel Release Switches provide?
The pilot and Copilot the ability to release weapons from the flight deck.

There are two SCUs that provide power and control for the Sonobuoy Launching System.
How many Sonobuoy Rotary Launchers are there and what are they capable of?
Three
Capable of suspending and rapidly launching up to ten sonobuoy mounted in a rotary carousel.
