A blastocyst is a ball of cells that forms early in a pregnancy, about five to six days after a sperm fertilizes an egg.

What potency is a Blastocyst?
A
The potency of a Blastocyst is pluripotent, which gives rise to all cells except extra-embryonic. Due to its development it is pluripotent and not totipotent.
