A form of the plague which causes fever and painful swelling of the lymph glands called buboes

What did the Church suggest people should do to cure or prevent the plague?
Pray, repent and commit flagellation (whipping themselves as punishment)

Pneumonic: It killed betweeen 95-100% of victims
How was the Bubonic Plague spread?
By being bitten by an infected flea.
How was the Pneumonic Plague spread?
By inhaling infected particles from somebody sneezing.
