What are some unique characteristics to benzodiazepines?
*Used to treat anxiety and stress-related insomnia
*Susceptible to tolerance/dependence
*Problematic to children, teens, and elderly
What are some unique characteristics to nonbenzodiazepines BZRAs?
*Shorter half-lives
*Used for insomnia
*CBT equally effective in treating insomnia
What are some unique characteristics to beta blockers?
*Decreases effects of epinephrine, NE, and cortisol
*Used for acute treatment for social/performance anxieties
