17
Q

Consumer

A

Eats other living things

18
Q

Decomposer

A

Breaks down dead plants + animals to release nutrients back into soil

19
Q

What is biodiversity

A

The different kinds of living things in an ecosystem.
Different organisms need different ecosystems.
Every type of organism has a job.
If 1 species is lost, that job can’t be done + the ecosystem suffers.

20
Q

Deforestation

A

Large human population-needs food.
Land is cleared to grow food, resulting in loss of habitat for wild animals + plants.
There is less biodiversity

21
Q

Causes of loss of biodiversity

A

Deforestation
Coastal Pollution
Ocean acidification
Burning of fossil fuels
