Q

three goals of cellular respiration

A
  1. break bonds between the 6 carbons of glucose to make 6 o2 –> (from inorganic to organic)
  2. move h atoms electrons from glucose to o2 to make 6h2o
  3. trap as much free energy in ATP

Q

ATP recycled

A

ATP is broken down to release energy and forming ADP and phosphate group –> phosphorylation is attaching a phosphate group to a molecule to make the molecule more unstable and therefore more reactive.
