Discrete Variation
Variation where you either have it, or you don’t.
Continuous Variation
A Spectrum Trait. Wide variety that the trait can appear as
Heritable Trait
Traits that get passed down
Non-Heritable Trait
Traits that have nothing to do with genetics
Asexual Reproduction
Reproduction that only involves one parent
Binary Fission
Parent splits in two so offspring is the same size
Budding
Parents splits so offspring is a smaller chunk of parent
Spore Reproduction
Spores release from parents to grow someplace else like dandelions. The offspring will be identical to the Parent
Vegetative Reproduction
Where you cut a piece of the plant off and plant that piece.
Sexual Reproduction
when two organisms combine dna to make another organism

Egg Cells (ova)
Female Sex Cell
Fertilization
When both sex cell meet and converge
Zygote
(caused by fertilization) Completely new cell with unique DNA
