How does Paul describe the Rapture in I Thessalonians 4:16-17?
The Lord will descend from Heaven.
A shout.
The voice of the archangel.
The trump of God.
The dead in Christ will rise first.
We who are alive will be caught up together with them to meet the Lord in the air.
We will be with the Lord forever.
In what ways does Jesus show His humility?
He became a human with the attitude of a servant.
He obeyed God even to the point of death.
In what ways can we show humility?
Don’t be Selfish: consider others as better than yourself.
Think about the interests of others, not just yourself.
Why was Paul proud of the Thessalonians?
They became followers of the Lord and the apostles.

3:1 = Seek things above (eternal things).
3:2 = Set your affection on things above.
3:5 = Put to death your sinful desires.
3:12 = Put on the good things from above.
3:17 = Do everything in the name of Christ, giving thanks to God.
What does Paul remind the Colossians about their Lord?
1:15a = He is the image of the invisible God.

1:17 = By Him all things consist (are held together).
1:18 = He is the head of the church.

What can you do to develop a joyful attitude?
Remember that God is always with you.
Don’t get hung up worrying about bad things.
Think about the good things.

Their souls will return with Christ and be joined with their resurrected bodies.
