Q

Study 2: What are the main findings regarding recurrent memories in the general population?

A

About half of the population experiences recurrent memories, with older people experiencing less. In general, recurrent memories are mostly related to positive experiences, following negative experiences and the least recurrent memories are associated with neutral experiences. Moreover, most recurrent memories are related to recent events. In children around the age of 10, a reminiscence bump for positive memories is found.
