Fibrosis/cysts/apocrine metaplasia – no risk= benign
Sclerosing adenosis + ductal hyperplasia - 2x risk
Atypical hyperplasia – 5x risk

Intraductal papilloma = premenopausal women

Papilloma cancer = old age postmenopausal =

Oestrogen increase e.g. pregnancy/menstruation

Fibroadenoma like tumour with overgrowth of the fibrous component = leaflike projections
