A
- If we accept the behaviourist view that all behaviour is learnt we should be able to unlearn it
- Behaviour modification aim to reinforce obedient behaviours and punish disobedience with hope latter dies out

- Based on operant conditioning
- Good behaviour such as following prison rules is rewarded with a token (secondary reinforcer)
- Can be exchanged for rewards such as phone call or cigarettes
- System should be made clear from start
- Bad behaviour = punishment
