Q

What are the evaluation points for the behaviourist approach?

A
  • Negative: Animal studies eg Skinner’s rats, how similar are we? can results be generalised?
  • Negative: Environmental determinism, doesn’t take a holistic view and so has a limited explanation
  • Positive is real-world application: phobias after little Albert study have been identified as environmentally caused and so psychologists can work to treat them
