What are the two types of aircraft batteries?
A
Nickel cadmium or lithium.

Why are aircraft batteries more prone to thermal runaway than lead-acid batteries?
A
They have a negative thermal coefficient, meaning as they heat up their resistance decreases.

What is nominal battery capacity?
A
The amp hours of the battery. E.g a battery of 40 amp hours can output 1 amp for 40 hours or 40 amps for 1 hour.
