a) Code of Safe Working Practices.
b) Adequate positive pressure ventilation must be present.
No smoking, spark, hot works, naked lights or non-approved electrical tools.
All PPE must be worn especially when handling acids.
Care should be taken of exposed battery terminals; electrical burns are likely. Metal tools should never be used within the battery space; all metal jewellery should be removed.
Battery cell caps should be securely fastened.
Do not mix battery acid in non-approved containers.
