Describe the Hippocratic oath

A

The Hippocratic oath is An oath hippocrates developed around 400 BC. It is a brief statement of principles that remains an inspiration to physicians. Hippocrates is known as the father of medicine. The principles basically say to treat the ill to the best of one’s abilities, to reserve a patient’s privacy, to teach the secrets of medicine to the next generation, and to ask for help from colleagues when unsure to, and that there is an arts to medicine and it’s practice surgery or drugs isn’t always the answer

What is the placebo effect?

A

The placebo effect is when a study is given on medications and half of the patients are giving the real medication and the other half of patients are given a placebo pill. A placebo pill is a sugar pill. the scientist giving the study try to find out if the placebo has the same side effects as those on the real medication
