- 3% Carbocaine (no epi) 0.5-2 hrs
- 2% Lidocaine 2-3 hrs
- 4% Septocaine 3-4 hrs
- 0.5% Marcaine 6-10hrs
- ST anesthesia lasts longer than hard tissue

Nitrous Oxide
A
- Establish base line tidal vol
- Titrate to effect 1/2 liter inc every 1 min
- Usually btw 30-50%

A
Diazepam 5 mg
Triazolam .25-.5 mg

Examination to determine degree of difficulty
A
- Mobility
- Density of bone
- Root shape and size
- Condition of crown
- Restorations present prior to endo therapy
- Proximity to vital structures

Max extractions right handed
A
- Patients mouth is at or slightly below surgeons elbow
- Surgeon is to the right and front of patient
- Dental chair tipped back
- Max let quad, pt head is tipped toward surgeon
- Max right quad, pt looking straight or tipped toward or away from surgeon
- Ant teeth, straight ahead
