moral: refers to an individual’s own principles regarding right and wrong
ethcis: : refers to rules provided by an external source; code of conduct
What is ethical management?
The coherent set of policy strategies and instruments aiming at the pro-active promotion of both positive values and the prevention of misbehaviour and abuse (integrity violations) on all levels of the sport sector.

job rotation, whistle blower channels (hotline, ombudsman) - Bind stakeholders, athletes, members, providers, third parties to the rules (zero tolerance)
- Implement a compliance management system (prevention, identification, reaction) + compliance officer

steps & risks of the data selection process
- indicators allow for benchmarking & evaluation to simplify and quantify raw data
- Likert scale - leaves a huge margin for interpretation
- dichotomous variables (yes/no) are more reliable
- construct validity is important (does it really measure what it intends to measure?)
- data selection process can be really subjective (the researcher has to be transparent)

Definition of Good Governance
Good Governance is a set of ethical measures or behaviors that regulate and control the management of its senior management and governing bodies
Defintion of a Compliance Program
The set of
principles and mechanisms to foster transparency, ethical
behaviour, risks identification, definition of policies and
procedures.
What is the role of an compliance officer?
The main characteristics of the compliance officer are:
a) Independence, not being subordinated to persons or bodies that may be
affected for its decisions. For this reason, it is advisable to depend on and
report directly to the higher body in the entity.
b) Direct access to the management bodies of the organization.
c) Access without any limitation to all information and documentation of the entity.
