Motility test were stab mark is made into agar. If fully red, then the bacteria are motile

What is the difference between selective media and differential media?
A
Selective media contain compounds/ reagents that effect growth
Differential media, is where two related species can grow, but one of these can utilise the differential agent, resulting in change that can be detected via colour change

Describe the different haemolysis
A
- Beta-haemolysis: Clear zone surrounded by halo
- Alpha-haemolysis (Partial): Some bubbles
- No haemolysis
