What were the IQs of the people in each group?
Group 1 - all normal intelligence (mean IQ of 105.31). Group 2 - all assumed to have a normal intelligence (IQ of above 85). Group 3 - all normal intelligence (mean IQ of 103.5)
What were the three types of groups in the sample?
Group of people with high functioning autism or Asperger’s syndrome, group of normal people, group of people with Tourette’s syndrome.
What was group 1?
16 subjects (13 males and 3 females). Got from an advert in the National Autistic Society magazine.
What was group 2?
50 normal age-matched adults (25 males and 25 females). No history of any psychiatric conditions (as established from self report). Selected randomly.
What was group 3?
10 adult patients (8 males and 2 females). They were all attending a referral centre in London.
