What was the aim of the 1963 Bandura experiment?
To investigate whether a filmed model would have the same effect as a live model on children’s aggression.
What was the procedure of the 1963 Bandura experiment?
Children were randomly allocated to for conditions.
1. Live aggression condition
2. Filmed realistic aggression
3. Cartoon aggression
4. Control group
Then taken to a room to play and observed.

The three experimental groups all displayed increased aggression.

Describe the procedure of Bandura 1965?
Children were split into three conditions:
1. Model rewarded condition
2. Model punished condition
3. No consequence condition
Children had same procedure as before made frustrated then taken into a room and observed.
What were the findings of Bandura 65?
Children in the model punished condition were less likely to be aggressive however the offer of reward increased scores significantly.
What is the supporting evidence of Bandura 1963 and 65?
Controls used to reduce extraneous variables. Eg: children taking part were matched for aggression.
What is the opposing evidence of Bandura 1963 and 1965?
Banduras study only showed the sport term effects and aggression shown towards a doll.
