Record Industry
Radio facilitated the assimilation of
Caribbean and American music styles and repertoire. The more commercial bandas adapted the percussion instruments of the conjuntos tropicales to play the popular Cuban dance genres.
These modified bandas became known as bandas-orchestras

1940s-Banda Los Guamuchileños directed by Romeo Zazueta was established in Culiacan
The Banda was often used for political campaign
1952-Invited to Mexico City they recorded an album of four songs.
Their recording brought more popularity to Banda Music

Born in 1918 in El Recodo,
1951 He created a banda for RCA- Vietor to release locally a few singles.
He envisioned a new type of Banda that was elegant and offered danceable music.
He arranged for banda the music of US big bands and the great Mexican orchestras.
Musicians had to wear a uniform
