A

In 1926.
A work crated by pupil Frederick Ashton ‘A Tragedy of Fashion’.
This was seen as the “birth of British ballet”

In 1928, Ashely Dukes brought a disused church hall in Notting Hill Gate.
This became the Mercury Theatre where the company performed
