Balancing Equations Flashcards

1
Q

What are the three rules for balancing equations?

A

Always balance an equation using coefficients.
If there is a compound ion (e.g. S04), balance it as if it is one atom.
Always balance hydrogen 2nd last and oxygen dead last.
