Engine Failure at V1
At Vr: pitch to 12.5 (5sec), pos rate > gear up
At 400’: emergency, Request rwy hdg and alt
Push/pull heading, trim 1/3 Aileron, 2/3 Rudder
At 1000’: speed sel 180, level change
At 180kts: A/P on, Memory items, After T/O, QRH
High-Speed Descent Profile
Speed Select 250 >Speedbrakes >Slats >Gear down
FCP ALT to FAF or 1000agl
>LVL Change
> LOC ONLY
(-7000’ in 10nm / slow to Vapp in 3nm)
Low-Speed Descent Profile
Speed Select 190 >Gear down >FL40
FCP ALT to FAF or 1000agl
>LVL Change
> LOC ONLY
(-7000’ in 9nm / slow to Vapp in 1.5nm)
All Attitude Upset Recovery Strategy
Recognize / Confirm

Autopilot / Autothrottle OFF
-PUSH unload wing until “light in the seat”
-ROLL to the nearest horizon
-POWER evaluate need based on aircraft energy
-STABILIZE adjust pitch and power
One Engine ILS Approach and Landing

Take your time, Burn Gas, Get Light QRH, 2in/2out, TTSR Tire speed 197 kts (VREF at 107,000lbs) Check ODM for VREF Request 10-15 mile Final
Slow to VAPP before descent
Pitch will be 7° on glideslope
Descent rate will be 900 fpm
This may trigger “Sink Rate”
A/P & A/T OFF at 500’
(Auto pilot must be Off by 100’)
(Auto throttle must be Off by 50’)
Throttles idle at threshold
Min to No flare, Touchdown at 1000’ mark
Fly nose gear to ground to deploy Spoilers
Max braking
