Q

What do the majority of scientists state?

A

That there was a massive ‘explosion’ in which matter came into being, and it caused the newly formed matter
to expand rapidly out in all directions. This is popularly called the BIG BANG. This explosion formed all the
matter in the universe, gradually taking the form of the gases hydrogen and helium.

Q

What happened after the formation of hydrogen and helium?

A

The gases cooled, and other elements formed, they condensed into stars and planets. The earth was one of the planets formed. Background radiation can be detected in space that seems to be left over from the Big Bang
