What does plasma carry?
Red blood cells, white blood cells and platelas
What adaptations do Red Blood cells have?
Biconcave disc.
Packed with red pigment.
No nucleus allowing more space for haemoglobin.
What is bigger red or white blood cells?
White blood cells are bigger meaning that there is fewer.
What directions does your arteries travel?
Carry blood away from the heart to the organs of your body.
What directions does your veins travel in?
Veins carry blood away from your heart to the organs.
What adaptations do capillaries have?
They have very thin and narrow walls which enables oxygen and glucose to diffuse easily.
What part of your atrium is deoxygenated blood coming from?
Right side
What blood s coming in from your left atrium?
Oxygenated blood through your pulmonary veins.
Can doctors replace heart valves?
Yes by using mechanical valves.
What do artificial pacemakers do?
They are attached by two wires and send strong electrical signals to your heart which enables it to beat properly.
What are artificial hearts?
Temporary hearts that are used on people when there heart stops working?
What do epidermal tissues do?
Covers the surface area and protects the plant.
What does palisade mesophyll do?
Contains chloroplast for photosynthesis.
What is xylem and phloem?
This is what transports tissues in a plant.
What is transpiration?
Loss of water vapour
