Where are chromosomes contained and what does it do?
Found in the nucleus and they carry the genes used for making new cells?
What is stage 1 in the cell cycle?
They get bigger and replicate its DNA to two forms ready for cell division.
What is stage 2 of the cell cycle?
Mitosis: when the cell divides and the nucleus splitting into two
What is stage 3 of cell cycle?
Where the cytoplasm and cell membrane divide ti form two identical daughter cells.
What are unspecialised cells known as?
Stem cells
What is meant by differentiate cells?
When cells become specialised to do a specific job in your body.
How do differentiated cells carry our different functions?
Different cells have different sub-cellular functions.
What is meant by cloning?
Producing identical offspring
What are the inner cells of the embryo?
Embryonic cells
