What is respiration?
The chemical reactions in cells that break down nutrients and release energy for metabolism
What is irritability/sensitivity?
The ability to detect changes in the external or internal environment and respond accordingly.
What is nutrition?
The process of taking in nutrients for energy, growth and development.
State what each type of organism needs specifically? (nutrition)
Plants: carbon dioxide, light , water, ions
Animals: organic compounds, ions, and water
What is growth?
Growth is the permanent increase in size or dry mass by an increase in number of cells or cell size
What is movement?
The action of changing position or place.
What is excretion?
Removal of waste, toxic, or excess materials.
