What strategies did the Spaniard use to defeat the Aztecs?
A
They used the element of surprise: Cortes first made alliances with the enemies of the Aztec empire, the Spaniards were later invited into tenochtitlan because they were thought as gods, and once in the city Cortes took Montezuma hostage.

A
The epidemic diseases conquistadors unwillingly brought with them, and the fearful, powerful and tall horses they brought with them.
