What is an Away-From-The-Play-Foul?
A
Away-From-The-Play-Foul is illegal contact by the defense, (1) in the last two minutes of each period, or OT period, which occurs deliberately away from the immediate area of offensive action. (2) Prior to the ball being released at any point during the entire game

What are the fundamentals of an Away-From-The-Play-Foul?
A
- Personal Foul
- Team Foul
- 1 FT attempt by any player in the game when the foul was committed
- Shot clock remains the same as when play was interrupted or reset to 14, whichever is greater.
- Resumption:
Inbounds: Offended team gets ball on sideline at nearest point to where play was interrupted but no nearer to baseline than FT line extended
Prior to inbound: Original throw-in spot with all privilege’s, if any.

What is the exception of Away-From-The-Play-Foul that will negate the original fundamentals?
A
If the personal foul is a flagrant or punching foul. Each foul will carry it’s own separate penalties.
