lateral luxation
lateral luxation happens when the bone that holds your teeth (alveolar bone) fractures and the pdl separates
extraction in severe displacement in labial direction case
14/7 soft diet
extrusive luxation
extrusive luxation is a traumatic dental injury caused by the action of oblique forces, characterised by partial displacement of the tooth out of its socket
treatment based on degree of displacement
mobility
intrusive luxation
dislocation of a tooth in an axial direction into the alveolar bone
radiograph to assess degree of intrusion
large force is required to intrude teeth
Orthodontic repositioning
a RA with self supporting spring or elastic module to apply vertical extrusive force through a bracket bonded on the labial or incisal surface
Surgical repositioning
if resistant, consider a bony impaction is present and release this before repositioning and labial plate of bone and soft tissue closure and suturing
Follow up for incomplete apex
monitor as 60% become non vital
signs of pulp death - start rct with apexification
