A
APR has more sensitive tracking, and allows the AP to track a valid glide slope

Difference between ARM and ALT buttons
A
ARM will level out at selected altitude, provided AP is in VS mode and is climbing or descending towards selected height.
ALT button causes AP to level off immediately
