LNAV engagement criteria
- active route entered in FMC
- within 3nm of active route LNAV engages with any aircraft heading
- outside of 3nm airplane must be: on intercept course 90 degrees or less and intercepting route segment before active waypoint
APP mode can be disconnected by
- pushing a TOGA switch
- disengaging AP and turning off both FD switches
- retuning the VHF nav reciever

A/P Disengagement criteria

Auto Flight takeoff pushing TOGA button
Both FDs must be on prior to starting the takeoff.
Pushing TO/GA button during takeoff
- pitch command is 10 deg. nose down (TO/GA FMA)
- roll command is HDG SEL
- A/T is engaged in N1 mode
- thrust levers advance to TO thrust
Auto Flight takeoff roll through V1
60 kts F/D commands 15 deg nose up
84 kts A/T mode annunciates THR HLD
FMS system includes
FMSC AFDS AT IRS GPS
Inertial system
Computes airplane position, ground speed, attitude for instruments, FMS, autoflight and other systems
IRS
2 independent IRSs, each has 3 laser gyros and accelerometers, IRS are sole sourse of attitude and heading except for STBY ATT indicator & MAG compass
