What is theory of mind and why is it harder for kids with ASD?
recognize and understand thoughts, beliefs, desires and intentions of others
can make them seem insensitive, or rude, leading to literal interpretations, difficult problem solving
What are other health concerns with a child with ASD?
PICA, poor nutrition, obesity, seizures, sleep problems, GI
Common comorbities with ASD
ADHD, seizure, GI, down syndrome, Fragile X, language disorders
