Community
A group of people living together and supporting each other
- something in common
Duty
Something a person is expected to do or be, because it is the law or part of a contract.
> as a result of conscience and religious beliefs.
Human rights
The things every person is entitled to have.
> eg food, shelter and freedom from fear.
Justice
> a state of fairness or equality where everyone has equal provisions and opportunities regardless of race gender or religion.
Punishment
To make someone suffer pain/loss for wrongdoing
> to uphold justice and protect society
Personal conviction
Something a person feels strongly about.
> may be based on religious belief or personal experiences.
Law
Written rules and agreed limits to behaviour and actions expected within a group of people
Why must we obey the law of the country?
> to avoid punishment
> duty/responsibility
> obeying sacred scripture from God
> to ensure the country runs smoothly and is just.
> others could have better judgement
> bible states we must obey the law of the land
