weinland ostereich is the majority of the PDO regions on the eastern edge, stiermark is the rest of the PDO regions on the south eastern edge, & burgland is the rest of the country to the center & west, mostly dominated by the austrian alps.

Qualitatswein, Pradikatswein, & DAC. Its large geographical divisions are 4 weinbaugebiete, and any federal state may also be used as a weinbaugebiete.
