What was the impact of British settlement on aborigines?

A

.Captain cook took Australia on the assumption that it was Nobodies land suggesting the Aborigines didn’t own it.
.New diseases from Europe infected the Aborigines killing many
.Mating with Aboriginal women, meant that less aborigines were born
.Land claimed by the British caused tensions and led to killings
.Eventually many aborigines were resettled which in turn led to their deaths due to lack of sufficient land.
