In Australia they are limited in power by the Constitution and have formal and customary roles.

Australia’s head of state is the king (monarch) who is represented in Australia by the governor general to exercise the executive powers formally vested in the commonwealth

The people delegate their sovereignty through elections in Australia to select members of the House of Representatives and the Senate. These are the two houses in Australia that are part of the legislative and the use of two houses is known as bicameralism

People vote for members to represent their state/territory and serve for a six-year term. Each state has 12 representatives, and each territory has 2 representatives. It is made up of 76 members.
RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN LEGILSATIVE
The House of Representatives drafts newslaws make amendments to exiting laws and pass them to the Senate. The Senate reviews bills made by the House of Representatives and makes it into law that will be passed to the governor-general. The governor general is part of the executive and always assents law passed by parliament.
What makes up the executive in Australia
The executive in Australia is made up of the monarch, the governor-general, the prime minister, the cabinet, and government departments.
They put the laws made by the legislature into effect

The primary role of the judiciary is to make legally binding decisions to resolve disputes about the law. The decisions of the judiciary are the law”.
What is the legal system in Australia
It is common law is judge-made law created in cases which give the need and rise for new precedents which can be used by other judges in the future
